Omega 3 fats are widely reported as the new superfood and are becoming increasingly important for people concerned with diet and general well-being. Whilst some of us may have had specific advice from a GP or Nurse to boost Omega 3 intakes, there are many reasons why we could all benefit from a higher intake of these good fats. They not only improve heart health but are also thought to be helpful in numerous other areas including child brain development, arthritis and stroke.
It is well known that the best sources of Omega 3 fats are from oily fish sources such as salmon and mackerel, however this is not the whole story. A wider range of foods is known to contain Omega 3 fats including vegetable oils and seeds as well as other fish and seafood.
With this in mind, we have developed a range of recipes that use easily available ingredients that you and your family will love. The recipes are simple and easy to follow and each one has a nutritional breakdown so that you can see how much Omega 3 is being contributed to your diet.
